Advanced Review Team

Advanced Review Team

Want the chance to read my stuff before it goes live?

I’m currently recruiting a handful of select readers to join an Advanced Review Team.

Why? It is critically important to get reviews on new books as soon as they launch on Amazon. You probably weigh reviews highly when making a decision whether to try a new author or rely on an old favorite. I know I personally pour over reviews on just about everything. Social proof is pretty powerful in any business.

Apart from helping to persuade people to give a new book a shot, reviews help drive early sales and downloads which, in turn, means that Amazon takes notice and starts to market on my behalf. Aside from that, the amount of total reviews opens up additional advertising opportunities.

In order to make that happen I’d like to put together a small team of Advance Readers.

How will it work and what will you have to do?

It’s pretty simple and I hope will be fun for my readers. It involves them being sent a copy of whatever book I’ve just finished and then, when it is live, putting up a quick and honest review on Amazon. Simple as that.

Is this limited to only Kindle readers/Amazon? No, and you can leave your review wherever you normally read. Yet, most of my readers pick up my books from Amazon and most advertisers only rely on Amazon reviews and ratings.

Bonuses…

Apart from getting a copy of the book before anyone else, I’m planning on saying thank you with some other nice bonuses. I’ll be putting members of my team in separate raffles apart from my regular email subscribers for signed print editions and additional Amazon gift cards. In addition to physical bonuses, I’ll also be doing a little something else that I think will be fun. Every new book, I’ll be selecting a member of my team to name a minor character in the book. This could be a victim, a member of law enforcement, etc. You’ll also be able to give me a physical description of this character if you’d like.

I’m going to try to keep this team relatively compact and will be sending out the first book in the series, Drained, roughly ten days prior to launch. I figure that should give you enough time to be able to give it a read. Book two, Consumed, won’t be ready until a day or two prior to release, but I’ll send it out as soon as I get it in my hands.

If all of this sounds like something you would be interested in, reply to the message that sent you to this page to confirm and I’ll add you to the list. By the amount of emails I’ve received since I sent off the newsletter, it’s looking like we have quite a bit of interest here, so I’m just going to take the requests as they come in and close it up as soon as I hit about 50 people
